Duty payers are required to submit electronic stamp duty payment requests and pay the duty via the internet network either before executing the document or within 15 days from the day following the document execution date, excluding public holidays. If the last day for submitting the electronic stamp duty payment falls on a public holiday, the submission may be made on the next working day immediately following the holiday.
A public holiday is defined as any day when government offices are closed, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday), official public holidays, and any special holidays announced by the government.
The system calculates the stamp duty submission deadline by counting 15 days from the contract creation date (Creation Date). If the last day falls on a public holiday, the deadline will be extended to the next official working day. The GeStamp Duty team maintains records of government public holidays and special holidays each year to ensure accurate calculations. Holiday information can be viewed in the 'Holiday' menu.
However, for certain types of documents that specify a Receive Date, the submission deadline shall be calculated from the Receive Date instead.
